Below, I have charted the performance of our GSP Model Portfolio v. the major benchmark indexes in the United States and the U.K. since the very first day of our launch on June 15, 2007 until March 7, 2008. As you can see, we are outperforming the major indexes in the U.S. and the U.K. by more than 35% and are careful planning for this global economic crisis has kept our Model Portfolio well positive in the first year of publication.

Below, I have charted the performance of our GSP Model Portfolio v. the major benchmark indexes in emerging markets in Asia since the very first day of our launch on June 15, 2007. As you can see, we are outperforming, as of March 7, 2008, the major indexes in India and Hong Kong by 6.66% and 11.96% respectively without the great rises and crashes that historically have plagued emerging stock markets.

I have charted the incredible outperformance of our GSP Currency Portfolio against benchmark performances of the world's major currencies as of March 7, 2008 above. The dollar's performance reflects its depreciation against a basket of global currencies, while the appreciation of the Euro and Pound Sterling reflect their performance against the U.S. dollar. Please keep in mind that the performance charts of our Model Portfolios above do NOT include the remarkable performance of our currency portfolio.

Our methodology to choose stocks won’t rely heavily on traditional statistics that you may be used to seeing, such as P/E ratios, earnings, gross and net margins, etc because our strategies don’t rely heavily on number crunching to uncover our best picks. This doesn’t mean that we don’t take a close look at the numbers. It merely means that we use other PROPRIETARY strategies that have proven to be far better predictors of stock price performance such as the strength of money trails among banking-government-corporate relationships. Though the great majority of our predictions have been spot on so far since our launch, obviously we aren't infallible and there will be times when a prediction or two is wrong (in fact, at SmartKnowledgeU, we're not too proud to include a sneak preview of our newsletter above that contained a prediction that has been slightly off the mark so far). However, when this occurs, we take the time to explain why markets are unfolding contrary to our predictions. Furthermore, we're much more concerned in getting the long-term predictions correct versus calling every short-term fluctuations in markets correctly. Keeping both ears to the ground regarding the long-term economic outlook is much more important to making a fortune that trying to predict how the U.S. Federal Reserve will next interfere in free markets in the short-term.

For example, in a sputtering, sickly economy, illogical short-term stock market rallies manufactured by Central Bank monetary policies are only possible due to the debasement of fiat currency worldwide. In simple terms, this means that stocks can rise 6%, 7%, even 8% when valued in terms of paper currency, but if that paper currency is being debased by the Central Bank at a clip of 10% a year, then by definition, the increase in value in your stocks has actually left you poorer. Such are the schemes being imposed upon unsuspecting investors today by the world's Central Banks. Only after we have identified the strongest picks capable of strong double-digit annual returns using our proprietary methodology do we then pare down our top stock picks by ensuring that the numbers look fine.

The amazing strength and consistency of our proprietary stock picking strategies is demonstrated by the returns of all of our FREE stock picks distributed through our blog and free newsletters last year (again, since we started this premium subscription newsletter, sorry, our FREE stock picks will now end. In essence, all of you received one year's subscription for free already). Furthermore, if we can sort out some legal issues that accounting firms have with the use of their audited statements, we will post the audited results of our portfolios managed exclusively with our strategies sometime in the near future. Going forward, we anticipate building a portfolio of about 25-40 stocks every year. Currently we have split our portfolios into two portfolios, a Model Portfolio and a Speculative Portfolio. You can expect the Model Portfolio to contain anywhere between 15 to 25 stocks and the Speculative Portfolio to hold between 10 and 20 picks. We won’t provide you new stock picks just for the sake of providing new picks if we don’t feel that there are stocks out there that offer a compelling enough risk-reward setup. And through 2008 only, our Speculative Portfolio remains free to all of our Global Stock Picker subscribers. After 2008, we will be running this portfolio as a separate subscription investment newsletter.

The belief that “foreign” stocks are risky is a myth that many leading global investment firms have sold to the public because they don’t know how to pick foreign stocks and are poor at doing this. Their inability to do so does not make it risky. All stocks in all markets, developed or emerging, are risky if purchased at the wrong price points and not sold when huge profits are made. We strongly believe that many of the best stocks, if not all, that offer the best chances to double, triple and even return five or six times your money trade outside of the United States. If you are one of those investors that is nervous about buying outside the “U.S”, then you should know that in 2006, the companies that comprise the wider major U.S. stock market index, the S&P500, earned more than 50% of all their revenues outside of the United States. In fact,, many American companies now earn upwards of 70% of all of their revenues outside the United States. If almost every American company is looking outside the United States to drive the majority of their growth, sales and profits, shouldn’t you be doing the same as well? Though many investors continue to insist on buying only American companies, this is a big mistake as they will continue to leave some of the largest profits on the table.

Furthermore, if you are American, all of our stock picks can be purchased on American stock exchanges so do not fear. If you are not American, for most, buying foreign stocks is no harder than setting up an offshore account online on the internet (for example, by the 3rd quarter, 2007, e-trade will enable investors to directly purchase stocks in these following six markets: the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, and the United States), but of course, be sure to check the regulations in your country regarding the purchase of foreign stocks.
